This was our first year going to Baby Animal Days up in Wellsville. The kids had a great time! There was so much for them to do! Alexander threw the hatchet and got it in the log. The kids loved holding all the animals, Mason especially! There were a ton of people there, fortunately it was outside and very spread out! The weather was nice too, which is probably why there were so many people. Mason was most interested in the sheep being sheared. He kept walking right up in front to see, it was quite humorous!

Oops!

Thursday morning Lauren comes in my room and I ask her what is wrong with her hair. She said her brother dumped the whole bottle of shampoo in the bath, as usual, so she found some under the sink. However she wasn't really sure that it was shampoo. She had actually washed her hair with baby oil! So I called Kelsie and she said to comb corn starch through her hair and then wash it with dish soap a couple times. Thanks Kelsie, you're a lifesaver! I just wish I would have thought to take a picture of it before we washed it!!!

Happy Birthday Lauren!
Her and I enjoyed a quiet breakfast
Eric and I took her for Chinese food, her favorite is sweet and sour chicken with white rice!
The 'Girls just wanna have fun' late night with lots of food and cotton candy!!
March 31st Lauren turned 9 years old. It's hard to believe she is so grown up! The past 9 years have been a true joy! She is a compassionate, intelligent, and inspiring young woman! I am so grateful to be her mom! I love spending time with her, she is always fun to be around! If you know Lauren she is not like most 9 year old girls. She is confident and dependable, yet funny and refreshing! Happy birthday Lauren!

March 18-19, 2009
We actually landed in Fort Lauderdale at 5:30 pm on the 18th and our flight left the next morning at 6:00 am. We debated about even getting a hotel room, fortunately we did. I got on hotwire the day before and found some rooms close the the airport with a free shuttle for only $32, hallelujah!!! It seemed to good too be true, but it worked out perfectly! The rooms were newly remodeled and there was a sports grill at the hotel to boot! We had a wonderful vacation, yet it's always nice to come home. The kids couldn't wait to go to school when they got home, so they ate lunch then went to school!

Great shot of the San Jose valley!
Standing at Poas Volcano
This was the lake we hiked up to above the volcano
The vacant waterpark, lol!
The Market!!!
We got up early and drove up to Poas Volcano. When we got there it was covered in clouds. We left then decided to turn around a go back when Alexander and Renae pointed out that they were moving. It turned out to be beautiful! It was quite chilly up there and very windy. The views of the volcano were amazing. After lunch we took the free shuttle to the free waterpark compliments of the hotel. It was probably a pretty hoppin' place in it's day, which was probably about 25 years ago!! Hey, we had the whole park to ourselves, what can we say. We got a pretty good laugh out of it anyway. Then we went to downtown Alajua. We went to a department store where Eric picked up some soccer jerseys. Then we went to the downtown market where you can buy pretty much anything, including pig heads! We went to a fabulous restaurant for dinner where they cooked rotisserie chicken and had amazing sides and drinks. It was a great way to complete our last night in Costa Rica!

My sister's house
The San Jose Temple
We left my sisters house today to go back to San Jose. This is a picture of her place. We stopped by the temple on the way to the hotel.

Wet sand, what could be more fun???
Mom's spa treatment
Dad's spa treatment
The boys, chillin'
Today we went to Playa Bejuco which is my sisters beach. We spent most of the day just playing in the smooth black sand. We gave each other foot treatments by rubbing each others feet. Then the kids gave Eric and I mud, I mean sand treatments, Eric's back and my legs. It was rather relaxing, but we did all burn from not reapplying sunscreen, though no one really seemed to care! This last picture Mason wanted to watch the sunset with dad, it is a priceless picture!

Enjoying the pool!
Yes, that is me attempting to body surf, not a pretty site!
Went to the beach today. This one was just South of my sisters house and they had lots of scarlet macaws, which were really cool. Then we went back by her house and swam some more!
